The Los Angeles Convention Center will be flushed with 'green' this week as the Green West Expo comes to town full of exhibits for the green conscious consumer, designer, business manager, government planner and elected official. If you want to learn how to live a sustainable lifestyle, this may be the place for you.

According to Green West Expo, the convention highlight includes Sustainable Spaces Inspired by Eric Lloyd Wright. It features eco-friendly homes designs. You may not be familiar with Eric Lloyd Wright, but you are probably familiar with his grandfather, Frank Lloyd Wright who was awarded the greatest American architect of all time by the American Institute of Architects in 1991.

Also, L.A. Inc. and Green Media Enterprises will host a reception highlighting sustainable menu items from leading L.A.'s leading restaurants including: Aventura Catering, Blue Velvet Restaurant, Border Grill, Casa, , J Restaurant Lounge, M. Cafe de Chaya, Mendocino Farms & Market, Wilshire Restaurant and my personal favorite place to enjoy the best rum from around the world, Ciudad.

Move over, Monster.com, here comes Manpower Inc., a self-appointed socially responsible international staffing firm looking to connect people with green jobs. Perhaps the world of business is truly changing. City of L.A. will also be there to promote Mayor Villaraigosa's pet project, err… campaign pledge to plant one million trees.
