First-of-Its-Kind Statewide Voter Guide Released for California Ballot Measures & Candidates

The Courage California Voter Guide Educates on How to Vote with Courage in Upcoming Primary

CALIFORNIA-- Today, Courage California launched its 2020 Courage California Voter Guide, a comprehensive, first-of-its-kind guide detailing recommendations for how California progressives should vote. The Courage California Voter Guide aggregates the endorsements of California’s most trusted progressive groups and organizations.

The 2020 Courage California Voter Guide offers recommendations including:

    • All Congressional, State Senate, and State Assembly races
    • Recommendations for select local races, including County Boards of Supervisors, City Council Select Members, and Mayors, as well as District Attorneys and Judge seats
    • Select Ballot Measures (local and statewide)

“Every day during election season, California voters are bombarded with misinformation from well-funded corporate PACs trying to manipulate their votes for state and local candidates, while the national political sideshow dominates the media spotlight. It’s nearly impossible to know how to vote, where to vote, or who to vote for, particularly outside of the presidential primary,” said Eddie Kurtz, Executive Director of Courage California. “Courage California believes that democracy can and must solve the thorniest problems facing our state and our nation while serving all of its people -- regardless of race, gender, or economic status. To do so, Californians must have the infrastructure they need to make informed decisions at the polls.

“California needs a straightforward, reliable resource to learn how to vote their values and bring progress to our communities. The 2020 Courage California Voter Guide is the solution for those who want to vote courageously, and hold our elected officials to the same standards.”

The Courage California Voter Guide comes ahead of the California primary on March 3rd, will continue to be updated throughout the month of February, and will expand regional coverage prior to the general election.
